Windsor Grand Slam World Cup of Curling

Windsor Grand Slam – It was our first time to Windsor Ontario as a team and it was a great event. The locals were great and did a wonderful job of hosting us! I think the arena was the nicest of any we’ve played in for a Grand Slam event. Home of the Memorial Cup champ Windsor Spitfires, the WFCU was home for us for 5 days of great curling. It started off good as we won our pool with a 4-1 round robin record and cruised onto the playoffs.

We played the eventual winner of the event Mike Mcewen in the Q finals and he beat us down, as we came out of the gates very flat and they made some good shots on route to their first Grand Slam win. Congrats to the Mcewen team kevin and martin with team Cara Daftar IDN Poker on their first slam win, and hopefully this doesn’t become a trend! Hahaha.

As for us, ya cant win them all and back to the practice ice as we have some fine tuning to do before our next event ! To all the folks who help put on the event, thanks and see ya next time.

Till next time,
Marcus Kennedy
