7. Endurance and Fatigue
Weight loss is only one of the many benefits of the Good Calorie Diet.
An obvious advantage of Good Calories is that they foster endurance and lessen fatigue. Eating Good Calories (such as lentils) before exercise produces an 18 per cent increase in endurance, whereas exercise drinks produce only a 9 per cent increase.
Thus, a Good Calorie diet may be more than twice as effective as are many common exercise drinks in increasing endurance.
The most common form of diabetes is adult-onset non-insulin-dependent diabetes melitus (NIDDM). When Australian doctors compared the effects of Good Calories versus the effects of the usual treatment of NIDDM, they found that Good Calories produced lower blood sugar and less urinary excretion of blood sugar.
Other doctors have confirmed the effectiveness of Good Calories in the treatment of NIDDM and insulin-dependent diabetes. Good Calories also help prevent the fat from binding to the protein in muscle – the primary cause of diabetic complications.
Note: Persons with diabetes should not change their diets without consulting their doctor.
Hypoglycaemia is a disease of low blood sugar. Its symptoms include headache, fatigue, irritability, anxiety, confusion, sweating and poor concentration. It usually occurs after eating Bad Calories and is characterized by initial increases in blood sugar followed by rapid decreases to lower-than-normal levels.
Good Calories are often an effective treatment for hypoglycaemia. They promote the gradual increase in blood sugar that does not trigger the rapid release of insulin that produces low blood sugar.
4. Heart Disease
A 15-year study of 7,038 French policemen found that the earliest marker of heart disease is elevated insulin, a symptom of the Starvation Response. The Starvation Response also raises levels of triglycerides, cholesterol and fatty acids, all of which contribute to heart disease.
Numerous studies have shown that Good Calories can lower, by nearly 30 per cent, the low-density lipoproteins (LDLs) in people who experience the Starvation Response; high levels of LDLs are correlated with heart attacks. Only three weeks of adding four ounces of beans – the best Good Calories – per day to a normal diet lowers cholesterol by more than 10 per cent.
Only one thing has been shown to extend the life span of mammals significantly, and that is caloric restriction. Animals that are fed low-calorie, nutritionally complete meals from birth live up to 60 per cent longer.
If caloric restriction is delayed until adulthood, animals experience only a 20 per cent extension of the life span. The Good Calorie Diet may be an easy way to have the advantages of caloric restriction without eating less.
One-third to one-half of all cancers may have a dietary origin. Certainly, many researchers
have noted a correlation between cancer and the ingestion of animal fats. Good Calories are known to help prevent prostate and colon cancer.
1. Dental Caries
Dental caries are caused when Bad Calories, which are easily digested, release sugar into the mouth. Therefore, Good Calorie foods may help prevent them.
It not only applies to adults, but also children under 6 years of age
