Team Martin wins in New Westminster

Team Martin took its first championship crown of the 2008-09 season, winning the 2008 Westcoast Curling Classic in New Westminster, BC. The team sported only one loss in preliminary round action, losing to Calgary’s Team Moulding by a 7-4 margin.

Team Martin rolled through the playoff round defeating Team M Johnson by a close 5-4 score in the QF, avenging its earlier loss to Team Moulding in the SF, winning by a 6-3 score, and a handy beating to rival Team Ferbey in the championship final, by a 7-3 score.
